Each year United Nations makes a request to the all to observe a day of non-violence and cease-fire that day is mentioned as “International Day of Peace”. Each year on 21 September, the day has been celebrated around the world.
UNESCO created International Literacy Day in 1967 to bring attention to this issue and it has been celebrated annually on 8th September ever since.
