Dr. S. R. Lasker Library celebrated International Open Access Week 2023

Dr. S. R. Lasker Library, East West University celebrated International Open Access Week from 23-29 October 2023. Aligned with the global movement's 17th year and the theme "Community over Commercialization", the library organized a week-long engagement with the university community. Through an awareness-building campaign on "Open Access Publishing Practices" disseminated to the university community through the library's social media platforms, an Open Access Knowledge Competition with quiz formats exploring the opportunities and challenges of open access, the library actively promoted the importance of accessible knowledge. This initiative successfully engaged more than 500 students and faculty members fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for open access within the university community.
