De Gruyter Brill Journals

De Gruyter and Brill officially merged to become De Gruyter Brill on February 16, 2024. The initial announcement of this merger was made on October 12, 2023.

This union has established a leading academic publisher, particularly in the humanities. The combined entity, headquartered in Berlin, will continue to maintain a significant presence in Brill's former main office in Leiden. The new company plans to publish over 3,500 books and 800 journals annually. As part of their integration, De Gruyter's website moved to a new platform on April 3, 2025, while Brill's website will remain active for the next two years to ensure a smooth transition.
