Dr. S. R. Lasker Library celebrated International Archives Week 2026 from 8–12 June 2026 in alignment with the global theme, “Archives for Justice: Rights, Memory & Futures.”
The celebration featured a social media awareness campaign highlighting the importance of archives in preserving institutional memory, cultural heritage, and community identity.
The library also digitized and showcased the EWU 14th Foundation Day Photo Archive through an interactive digital flipbook, enabling faculty members and students to reconnect with the university’s history. The initiative demonstrated how academic libraries can promote digital storytelling, memory preservation, and greater appreciation of archives within the university community.
