ILO and Research4Life Launch Online Access to Legal Research and Training for Developing Countries. The International Labour Organization (ILO), in collaboration with its partners, has launched a new Research4Life programme titled “Global Online Access to Legal Information (GOALI)” on Tuesday, 6 March. This initiative recognizes the critical importance of access to legal knowledge and aims to provide free or low‑cost online access to academic legal journals, publications, and databases for more than 115 low‑ and middle‑income countries. The database includes 1300+ e‑books and 750+ e‑journals, offering valuable resources for students, researchers, and legal professionals. Many participating publishers have been long‑standing contributors to other Research4Life programmes. Institutions already registered under any Research4Life programme will automatically gain access to GOALI, while new institutions are encouraged to register through the official website.
