"Hridoye Bangabandhu Corner" has inaugurated at the East West University Library

The "Hridoye Bangabandhu" has inaugurated at the East West University Library on Thursday, April 21, 2022, to commemorate the life,  work, ideology and philosophy of Father of the Nation and Architect of Independent Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the new generation and to practise the true history of Father of the Nation and his dedication for this country. The corner has inaugurated by the Chief Adviser & Founder Vice-Chancellor of East West University, and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin. Honorary member of the Board of Trustees and Chairperson, EWU Center for Research & Training, Dr. Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury was present at the time.

Professor Dr. M. M. Shahidul Hassan, Vice-Chancellor and  Professor Dr. Mohammad Ziaulhaq Mamun, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University, Deans of different faculties, Proctor, Chairpersons of different departments, Teachers, Registrar, and Officials of the University were also present at the inauguration session.

There is a sculpture of Bangabandhu and books written about his life and works ornamented on the corner. In a short speech at the opening ceremony, Professor. Mohammed Farashuddin said, if we want to know the history of the rise and development of Bangladesh, everyone must know about Bangabandhu. He added that EWU has always up-hold the ideology of Bangabandhu and the spirit of our liberation war. Dr. Farashuddin expects that through this corner, future generations will have the opportunity to know Bangabandhu and the liberation war in detail. 

At this time, Dr. Dilara Begum, Associate Professor & Chairperson of the Department of Information Studies and Library Management and Librarian (In-Charge) of East West University presented a short biography of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the form of an e-book.
