EWU Library celebrated International Open Access Week 2021.
International Open Access Week from 25 October 2021 to 31 October 2021 is a global event; now entering its fourteenth year for Open Access advocates to engage their communities to teach them about Open Access, to share what they have learned with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participation in helping to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research. Begun in 2007 as Open Access Day, the event was originally a partnership between Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC) and students who organized local events on a handful of campuses across the United States. Since then, International Open Access Week has grown exponentially and is now celebrated at hundreds of events around the world.
In this connection, East West University Library observed this week from 25 October 2021 to 31 October 2021 with the following series of programs:
- Promoting the essential benefits of using “Open Educational Resources” through EWU library social media tools.
- Online Quiz Competition with Escape Room Challenge for EWU students on this year's theme “It Matters How We Open Knowledge: Building Structural Equity”.
70 students from different departments attended Online Quiz Competition' with Escape Room Challenge. We have selected the top three students as winners.
Congratulations to the winners!
