Dr. S. R. Lasker Library, East West University celebrated Open Education Week 2024 (#oeweek) from March 4-8. Open Education Week is an annual event launched in 2012 by Open Education Global, which aims to promote open education and its positive impact on teaching and learning. The week features achievements and innovative contributions to open education from around the world, providing educators, practitioners, and students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of open educational practices.
To mark the occasion, the Dr. S. R. Lasker Library highlighted various aspects of open education practices on its social media channels, as it did the previous year. Additionally, our amazing intern students from the Department of Information Studies led a fantastic peer-to-peer learning session. They discussed the advantages of utilizing open education resources (OER) and strategies for encouraging the adoption of OER among university students.
