UN Reference Corner inaugurated at EWU Library

East West University Library inaugurated a UN reference corner at its library section supported by the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), Dhaka today. The corner consists of UN publications produced locally and by UN Head quarters. The corner will facilitate the students and the faculty members of EWU to have the opportunity to read and use the UN publications at EWU library instead of going to UN Information Centre. They also arranged a discussion programme on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for EWU students. All the 192 UN member countries committed to achieve the MDGs goals (8 goals) by the year 2015. More than 50 students of the university participated at the discussion programme. The officer-in-Charge of UNIC, Mr   Kazi Ali Reza spoke on MDGs.
Professor Mohammed Sharif, Vice Chancellor of East West University, Inaugurated the opening ceremony. The Librarian of EWU Ms. Dilara Begum and Mr. M. Moniruzzaman, Reference Librarian, United Nations Information Centre, spoke on the occasion.
