EWU and SAARC Documentation Center Successfully Complete the Ten Days Research Methodology Course
 

M A Mannan, State Minister of Ministry of Finance and Planning, urged to researchers to find innovation for effective utilization of manpower and natural resources of the SAARC region.  He added, new innovation through research can convert the region as a leader in the world. SAARC and EWU jointly organized a ten day long regional research methods course.  M A Mannan said these as a Chief Guest at the concluding ceremony.

SAARC Documentation Centre (SDC) New Delhi, India in collaboration with East West University arranged the ten day course on research methods at East West University's own campus in Aftabnagar, Dhaka. 26 participants from eight SAARC countries attended this program. This course was meant for Researchers, Faculty members, M. Phil and Ph.D students.

At the end of the ten-day course the concluding program began with the distribution of certificates among the participating researchers. Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU chaired the program, while Professor Ahmed Shafee, Vice Chancellor of EWU and Mrs. Kesang Dechen, Deputy Director of SAARC Documentation Centre were the special guests. Dr. Dilara Begum, Librarian, EWU, delivered the welcome address on the occasion. 

The speakers said that, civilization began to march forward through research. The power of  innovative capacity was found through research, and that makes human beings different from other animals. They hoped that after this course the researchers would take up their appropriate role in participating in the development of the SAARC region. Speakers also gave  special thanks to SAARC Documentation Centre for choosing Bangladesh and EWU for conducting this important ‘Research Method’ course. 

Prominent resource persons from Bangladesh and India attended as course instructors of the research methodology course.
