Recent Trends of Bangladesh Economy: An Overview

Despite the potential and vibrant manifestation in some sectors, the strength of the economy of Bangladesh is unrealized in many ways. The achievement in food grain production, inflation and debt management, and export of ready-made garments (RMGs) and frozen food is not disappointing. Frustration and underperformance creeps in industry, especially in manufacturing sector, employment generation, capital market development, privatization, and export growth call for pragmatic actions.
