Closing Ceremony of International Workshop on Health Information Literacy at East West University

East West University (EWU) Library organized the closing ceremony of International Workshop on Health Information Literacy on -30 July.  A total of 30 participants from Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Maldives took part in this four day long workshop.
Md. Humayun Kabir, Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest in this event while Professor Dr. Muniruddin Ahmed, vice Chancellor (In-charge), East West University Presided over this session.
In his speech, Md. Humayun Kabir praised the initiative saying that this workshop will equip the library professionals with most up-to-date knowledge on the use of digital library for health information. People need to know proper information to keep their wellness in every aspect of life, and digital library in this regard has a big role to play.
In his speech, Professor Dr. Muniruddin Ahmed also put emphasis on the role of information and digital library to build a nation free from various diseases. He said that people need to-be informed about how they will get the information and when they have to use this information to prevent their health from upcoming diseases. Finally, he thanked the trainers, participants and organizers for organizing a successful international workshop at East West University.
