Shift the Relative Bargaining Power Towards Developing countries in WTO: a Reflection on the Cancun Ministerial Conference
Abstract:
This article examines the shift in the relative bargaining power of the multilateral trade negotiations towards developing countries in WIO. In this context, it makes an assessment of the experiences of Cancun Ministerial conference in which the developing countries have raised their strong voice that ended the conference without an agreement. Finally, it argues that this strong voice reflects the shift of relative bargaining power from developed countries to developing countries, which poses a challenge to the trading system as it is going on under the WIO.
